6 axis cnc machine SA-266 swiss type automatic lathe Economical Turn-Mill Center

Compared to a 5-axis swiss lathe, the 6-axis swiss lathe version features an additional Y2-axis that can move up and down on the back spindle. The end face of the back spindle can be equipped with four live tools and four fixed turning tools. This means that, in addition to end-face drilling and tapping (which are also possible on a 5-axis machine), back spindle machining can now achieve operations such as milling end-face irregular grooves, Milling a flat, and complex contours. This enables a wider range of machining scenarios to be completed in a single setup on one machine.

The breakthrough of a six-axis sliding headstock lathe lies in its back spindle, which is equipped with a full-function Y-axis (vertical movement) and a powerful end-face live tool turret. This transforms it from a simple part-catching spindle into a fully functional turn-mill center.
